We had a great Halloween. Today was spent (for me) in the kitchen cooking up at storm. I got my early Christmas present last night from Shad.....a Kitchen Aid Mixer! I LOVE IT!! I was mixing everything by hand (no I didn't even have a hand mixer) so I am very grateful to have this machine! Shad spent the day in his "man cave" aka the garage. He also got his early Christmas present...a tool chest. He spent his day organizing and cleaning his space. Brinley has been cutting more teeth and not sleeping very well so I made her sleep for half the day. It is amazing how sleep deprivation causes irritability (including me)!
Tonight we had Josh, Genna and little Tate man over for dinner. We had a lot of fun. We had: dinner in a pumpkin (YUM!), cornbread, salad, apples with dip, chips/salsa and cupcakes. Oh, I can't forget the "witches brew" it was more like witch's slushy since the dry ice froze the root beer. It was still pretty good. Brinley was so facisnated by the dry ice mist. She couldn't get enough of it. We weren't able to take her trick or treating this year, but I dressed her up nonetheless. For some reason we had things come up every time I wanted to take her trick or treating. Oh well, there is always next year. She will probably understand it better then anyway!
