April Fools and Easter!!!!

As always I can't believe another month has come and gone let alone a year! Last April Fool's day my husband bought me my Tahoe, which I LOVE!! This year I am grateful to still have it :) April Fools was pretty uneventful this year besides that fact we thought spring was here considering we had 60-70 degree days....but April FOOLS!!! It is actually winter all over again! We have had snow almost everyday of April. Last night Brinley woke up around 2 am and it was a blizzard outside. It made me sad for anyone who was homeless and out in that weather. I hope spring comes back soon!!! I am glad I didn't plant some of my garden yet.

This Easter weekend has been pretty special. This weekend Conference was on Easter! Yesterday we spent the morning together eating breakfast and watched the first session of Conference. All I can say is I am so grateful to have the gospel in my life and all the it brings. The men and women who spoke where so inspiring and help me to realize how much better I need to be! During the two hour break we had lunch and Shad setup a little Easter egg hunt for Brinley in the backyard. She LOVED it!!!! It was so cold outside we bundled her up. It was hard for her to pick up the eggs with her gloves on, but it didn't stop her. We didn't have a basket big enough to hold all the eggs so we used a plastic bag. There was quite a bit of grass that got picked up with the eggs so it worked out that we didn't use a basket. We all enjoyed our "treats" while we watched the second session. Today has been great as well. Conference was very humbling and insightful. Shad's brother Lafe came down for the last session today. Afterwards we had a nice Easter dinner together and then colored Easter eggs! It was a lot of fun. Shad and I are now sitting down relaxing with some yummy banana cream pie!! We are watching Extreme Home Makeover. It is amazing to see all the incredible people out there doing great things for others. It inspires me to serve others more and to be a little kinder!
