Catchin' Up

It seems like I have been super lazy lately. I figure I need to update our blog before I forget some of the happenings at the Jepsen household. Surprisingly enough Brinley has never really played with boxes. The other day we went shopping at the Asian Market and brought home a couple boxes. One was empty by the garbage can and the other one had trash in it. As I was making dinner I heard Brinley over by the boxes when I turned around she was in one of them. Needless to say it has been a favorite for her ever since. Shad and I would push her around the house in it while she giggled.



The other day we went outside with her ball. I thought that it would be fun to let her roll it around outside. Little did I know that she would trip over herself while running for the ball and land face first on the concrete. Luckily she didn't get hurt too badly. She scrapped up her knee pretty good. The last few days she points at her "ouwee" and says "ouwee", "ouwee". I was surprised she didn't really even cry when it happened.


Well, as some of you may know it was my 28th birthday on Wednesday. It was probably the worst day I have had so far as morning sickness goes. I had a little bit of a cold too so that didn't help. The night before Brinley had a rough night so neither one of us had much sleep. Shad got up early to go to a car auction and Brinley and I slept in. When we woke up I was surprised with flowers, breakfast and a beautiful card. Shad is so wonderful. He woke up extra early to make sure I was spoiled! I spent most of the morning by the toilet and felt good enough to go to lunch with my brothers and sweet sister in law. Thanks again it was so good to spend time with you! We had sushi (cooked for me of course). It was actually pretty good. Smells didn't bother me there so I made it through lunch just fine. Brinley and I came home from a nap and around 4pm I was not feeling good. We had dinner reservations at 6pm and I didn't think I was going to make it. Around 5:30 I felt good enough to go so I got ready and Shad took me to Magelby's in Springville. As we walked in the guy asked if we were Shad's party which I thought was strange. We said yes and he told us to go downstairs and to our left. As we reached the bottom of the stairs I looked to the left and there was a big table with our friends. I started to cry. It was a great ending to the day. I have never had a surprise party and it was great!!! Thanks honey for making my day wonderful. Angie also made me a huge, super delicious cake! The gifts were quite interesting. People are thinking/hoping we are having twins. Notice the two matching jumpers?? My favorite is the pink t-shirt Nicholas gave me.
