Another NST and the Hospital

My midwife was sure that I was going to have little B the day we had the ultrasound because of my contractions. I guess most women don't have them like I have for the last 3 weeks...lucky me! So, since I didn't give birth they wanted me in for another non stress test. It went well except for I am still contracting and have a lot of uterine irritability.

I forgot to mention in the last post that when the ultrasound tech was doing the ultrasound she was saying how cute our baby is! He has big ole chunky cheeks and big lips! We can't wait to meet him.

So the latest and greatest excitement...on Thursday night Shad was feeling alot of pain and around 11pm he starting puking and by 3am he drove himself to the ER. I told him earlier I thought he had appendicitis, but he blew it off saying it was food poisoning. I was nervous that he was driving himself to the hospital. I was timing him and ready to call someone to track him down if I didn't hear from him within 15 minutes. He made it fine, but has to wait almost 4 hours for his results. He said that he put his street clothes back on and was ready to leave when the surgeon finally came in to tell him they were doing surgery. Our sweet neighbors came over and watch Brinley and took me to the hospital. I was able to spend a few minutes with Shad before the took him back. It was kind of weird because the hospital was so quiet. I actually kind of liked it. The surgical center was closed except for emergencies so they allowed me to go back to be with Shad right after he was out of surgery which was really nice. He received really good care while he was there. He had a hard time at first getting his oxygen up and using the bathroom, but once he was finally able to come out of the anesthesia it wasn't a problem and he was released at 4:20pm. I spent the majority of the time sitting with my feet propped up. My mom and stepdad watched Brinley all day and then Shad's mom has been here taking care of us! It has been soo nice. It is hard not having family closer. Shad and I were both so exhausted from the last couple days that we both have slept all day except to eat and shower. Poor Shad has been in a lot of pain and I think it is going to be a few days until he feels better. Now we are waiting for out little guy to decide to come!!

i hope that Shad gets feeling better and the baby stays put for a while longer.. It is much easier to have them inside then out even though your so excited to see them.. Believe me I know, I'm experiencing it right now where sometimes I wish she was still in my belly at night where she doesn't sleep very good.. Last night was good so tonight isn't going to be good i have a feeling.. Anyway I hope that you guys will be able to get a break you have had a lot of things happen to you in the last year and i hope this coming year is a better year for you.. We love you guys and think about you all the time... Take care and let us know if you need anything at all...

Oh my gosh Audrey..I seriously admire you for keeping your cool through all of this. I would have needed admittance to the nearest mental hospital. Good luck with everything. Hope all goes well with little baby Breckin...you guys are in our prayers.
