This year we did dinner in a pumpkin on Sunday night and had some neighbors over to eat with us. It turned out really good, but I used jasmine rice instead of instant rice so the rice was still a little crunchy. One of my upcoming posts will be recipes I love and want to pass on.
Halloween day itself was kind of a rough day. Brinley didn't sleep well at all the night before and was cranky all day and she wasn't the only one :) She threw tantrums and fits all day. I didn't do much that day. Shad had a truck to deliver to a neighbor of ours. He surprised them by going to get the truck in Spokane without them even knowing he had. It was pretty neat to see the look on their faces, especially since Shad had worked so hard on it. After he delivered the truck we took the kids out tricker treating. Brinley had a lot of fun and really starting getting into it the last house we went to. Since it was getting late and we hadn't had dinner yet we did mummy pigs in a blanket. Let's just say they looked cute, but Shad and Brin aren't hot dog fans. Shad and I both forgot to buy dry ice to do witch's brew so we saved that until the next night. We also saved getting pictures until the next day too. She had her costume off before Shad could get the camera. When Brinley woke up the next morning she wanted to go tricker treating again! I had to explain to her that Halloween is only one night a year. She isn't very happy about that.
