We started off on the testing with having Brinley have a urine bag put on at the pediatrician's office. They also did a nebulizer treatment which didn't do anything for her cough. The pediatrician then sent us over to the hospital for a blood test. I asked the nurse to get some help to hold Brinley's arm. Apparently, she didn't expect Brinley to be as strong as she is because they almost collasped her vein trying to draw her blood. Brin did really good though through it all. She even got to pick out two plastic jewel rings for being so brave. She could care less about the blood draw after getting the rings. She loved them and wore them proudly! They wanted her to pee in the bag they stuck on her before we left the hospital, but she wasn't about to let that happen :) We even went for a walk outside in the cold and still nothing. Finally, that night before she went to bed she couldn't hold it any longer. Shad ran the sample in to the after hours clinic. Poor guy had been running around to the hospital, pharmacy, pediatrician office and home multiple times that day. He had just arrived home from dropping off the sample when the after hours clinic called me saying they needed to start Brinley on an antibiotic for a UTI that night. So, Shad was off again to the pharmacy. The next morning our pediatrician had us go in to the hospital again for Brinley to get a chest x-ray. She was so cute. The tech said that she was the best three year old he had ever done an x-ray on. He said that he usually can't reason with them, but she did awesome. We were in and out of there in a flash and she even got a cute sticker.
Within the next few days we found out that Brinley really didn't have a UTI. Her blood work came back normal with no signs of infection and her chest x-ray didn't show any signs of pnemonia. She said that there looked like a little bit of a bacterial infection that could be causing it, but wasn't sure. She stayed on her antibiotic even though she didn't need it. We also scheduled an EEG with Primary Children's to see if she had any abnormal brain activity...more to come with pictures!

wow that is great that she did so well! When Mason had to do his sweat test (they make your arm sweat and then shock you for a couple of min.) he cried at first but then just let it happen. Little kids amaze me
