I realized though I haven't posted anything really the last few weeks. I have a bunch of photos that I want to put on here of things that we have been doing to keep busy during our "not going to public places" time. We have gone on quite a few walks. Recently, we bought some toys to help make the time inside not so rough. We have a slide that folds up, a playhouse and a fun "train" wagon. On our walks we go and feed the neighbor's horse, walk to the river to throw rocks in and ride bikes. When we did venture out in public to the aquarium the kids got free otter pops since they have an otter display at the time we went.
A few weeks ago Brinley lost one of her earrings. She was so traumatized when she first got them put in she wouldn't let me put her earring back in. Shad and I decided to just take them out and let her get them redone when she is ready. It was probably the right decision to remove them because she has done much better without them and one of her ears became infected.
She is doing better on her seizure medication (keppra), but she still struggles with sleep, dealing with any emotional distress, her speech gets slurred/studders and not being able to control her bladder. From what we have heard from other parents with children that have absent seizures these problems are common especially with potty training. She probably won't be able to be potty trained for awhile and will have to continue to wear pull-ups day and night. We have been struggling with the school district here to be able to get any type of help for her. I try not to be angry or have any type of racism, but the school district here only has one preschool and it is overwhelmed with children who don't speak english. All the other preschools around require children to be potty trained. Right now we are really considering putting her in a preschool in Alpine school district or moving to a different district that will provide more help for her.
Breckin turned 14 months old this month! He is still very timid about walking even though he can do it he doesn't like to. Screaming when he is stuck or wants me to help him happens regularly everyday. He now has four teeth. Two front teeth on top and bottom. His hair is very curly and Shad is letting his curly mullet grow and grow. I want to cut it, but Shad won't let me. He is "living vicariously through his son". He is such a good eater! He is trying to say new words all the time and is so happy!

I hope things with Brin get better. That is so frustrating to not be receiving the help that you need. I would be ready to move too.
