This past weekend Shad committed to driving a truck ( and pulling a car) to Kansas. His good friend Andy Olsen and his family live on the army base on the border of Kansas and Missouri. They bought a truck from Shad and another family Shad knows that are also stationed on the same base bought the car. He left Saturday morning and got there about 12:30am our time that night. I couldn't believe how fast he got there! What a long trip! The kiddos and I were left to ourselves. We have been very cautious about being around anyone that is sick, but we went over to see our neighbors new chicks and realized after we had been there for a few minutes their little boy was sick, nice. Low and behold, our kids came down with it right before Shad had to leave to go out of town. Of course, it has caused Brinley to have more seizures and we discovered Breckin still gets reflux when he gets sick. I did take her into her pediatrician, who we love, and he took over increasing her medication until we go into Primary's again next week. He also told us that we needed to go back to the school district and fight to get them to help us with her speech and social issues. Otherwise, we would have to go to Salt Lake for help, great.
Saturday the kids and I just hung out and watched a lot of tv. Brinley was grumpy and didn't want to do anything so that is what we did. Sunday was a beautiful day and I thought it would be a great day to go the the Temple and walk around. I dressed up the kids hoping to get a few cute pictures of them, which turned out to be not so fun. Brinley didn't want her picture taken. She just wanted to play in the water fountains. There were a thousand missionaries there it seemed like so Breckin wouldn't stop staring at them. We found our way over to a tree where a sister missionary was kind enough to take a couple pictures of me and the kids (I hate our camera by the way it has been to nikon twice and still doesn't work right). As soon as I thought I was going to get some cute pictures Breckin spit up all over his suit. As we were making our way back to the car a sister missionary started a panic because Brinley was playing in the water fountain and the girl thought she was going to fall in. Little did she know BrinIey wasn't going to fall in. I grabbed Brinley and we left just in time for her to have a melt down. We went home and had some naps which was much needed!!! Shad was able to come home that night and it was fun to be able to pick him up at the Provo airport. We watched his plane come in and land which Brinley loved! She spotted the plane before I could even see it. We were so glad to have him come back home safe and sound!
