I can't believe our little girl is four! We are so grateful to have her in our lives and healthy especially after this past year. Since she is still working on some of her social skills I decided to have a small party for her at the pool. I really wanted to have a princess tea party for her, but I just knew deep down it would be really hard for her to have a good time and be able to interact with any of the girls that would come. The pool party worked out perfect. She was able to do her own thing, but still have a few other kids around she was familiar with. She loved it! We had her pool party on Friday, took her four wheeler riding on Saturday and then had a small birthday dinner for her on Sunday night. I decorated our kitchen Saturday night after she went to sleep and baked her cake. When she woke up on Sunday morning she was beaming from ear to ear. She kept singing, "Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to meee, Happy Birthday to ME!". It was pretty cute. At church they sang to her and gave her a treat. She also was picked randomly during singing time to help out. She had me go with her, but she did it. Her sunbeam teacher came over after church and gave her a piggy bank. While she napped I tried to decorate her cake in a very short amount of time. I think it still turned out really cute and she loved it, so all in all it was a success! Lafe and Grandma Sue joined us for dinner. We were sad that some of our other family including Idona couldn't be there. This year we bought her a doll house for her birthday a few weeks early from a yard sale. Between the doll house and a $30 canopy I found online she has started to sleep in her own bed again, with a few setbacks. She is progressing though and I think before long she will be potty trained too!

I think I've had a little too much :)
It was so sad Monday morning when she walked into the kitchen and asked, "where's my birthday, mom? I want my birthday stuff up again". She was so sad it wasn't her birthday anymore. It was so nice to see her understand that she was turning four and wasn't three anymore. She is really starting to act more like herself everyday. We are giving her a year from when she went into Dr. Stockwell to fully recover and to catch up from her regression. We are hoping by the end of this preschool year that she will be caught up again. We sure love our little lady and are so grateful everyday for her and all that she teaches us!! We love you Brinley!!
