Catching Up

Since we got back from Hawaii life has been crazy!!! It has already been a month since we left. There are days that I miss it like crazy. On the 24th of July we went riding (dirt bikes and four wheelers) with our adopted family in Heber and Midway. It was a lot of fun and we can never go riding without something going wrong. We have horrible luck. I had Brinley on the four wheeler and she ended up falling asleep right before we got to an extremely rocky part of the trail. I ended up having to ride in a side by side the rest of the time. Shad and Dave decided they would venture up a hill. Shad ended up hitting a rock and losing all the oil in his oil pan. He had to leave the bike and went an got it a few days later. He now has it "as good as new". Since the 24th we have been camping with Shad's side of the family in Downey, ID. We had a really great time. Just before we left I found out that my work wanted me to start working back in the Salt Lake office instead of at home so I gave my two weeks notice. I will officially be a stay at home momma. Please send me ideas of how to keep Brinley entertained :)

I will also be posting more about our latest project....it is an exciting one. We bought a house!!!!!! Finally! We are going to be in Provo longer that what we would like, but it works. The house was a foreclosure and we know we got a great deal. It was worth the wait. We didn't even use an agent...which I am most grateful for. I have not had that best experiences with listing agents we have tried to deal with on multiple homes. I wish that area of real estate was more regulated. Anyway, enough with the venting. We will post pics this week!

My Fondant Cake

I am taking a fondant cake decorating class so I can start making wedding cakes (and any other type of cake). I have wanted to do this for a while so I am really excited to be able to do it! Here is my first fondant cake (it is a smaller height than what the next cake I will be doing). I have a blog set up for the cakes I will be doing it is: sweetcakesbyaj.blogspot.com. I will post all the updates on the cakes I can and have done there.

Shad's First Softball Game

Shad joined a co-ed softball team recently and last night he played his first game. He seemed a little nervous at first because he hasn't played in a while, but he did awesome! He played 3rd base and towards the end of the game there was a ground ball that popped up and got his forearm (he has a HUGE welt) and his foot got stuck in the mud and he about rolled his ankle, but he kept them from scoring. He said he had a lot of fun and looks forward to playing another game!

I am still pregnant. I think this baby is going to make us wait awhile. Today it has been exactly three years to the day since Shad and I laid eyes on each other. I can't imagine life without him. We are also coming up on our one year wedding anniversary! It's amazing how time flies. Shad was hoping that our little girl would come today, but I highly doubt it. Knowing our luck I will go past my due date and have to be induced! We will keep you updated if anything more happens. We also have another doctor's appointment on Monday.

Fun Weekend!

We decided to do something fun this weekend since the weather has been getting warmer. We loaded up the fourwheeler and Shad's YZ dirt bike on Saturday and went up to five mile pass. It was windy, but we had a lot of fun! We rode for a couple hours and ended up a long way away from where we started. There was a storm coming in and we were miles from our SUV so Shad decided to go down a "short cut" which became really icy. The fourwheeler handles the mud and ice just fine, but Shad's dirt bike wasn't made for the snow so he wrecked right on his wrist he had surgery on about 6 weeks ago. It was a good thing he had a brace on it and when he wrecked it was more of a slide so it didn't hurt him too bad thank goodness. We had to turn around at that point and go back the long way. All in all we had a really good time. Since I didn't take the camcorder here are some stock pictures to give you an idea until I get the real ones loaded!
