Update

Shad is proressively getting a little bit better each day. Last night we had a little bit of drama...he threw up which must have set something off because he was coming in and out of concisssness again. He didn't remember that he was in an accident, or that his brother was here with us, that he had eaten anything, he couldn't remember what day it was, he had a glazed look and was taking long periods of time to think and kept complaining that he didn't feel good. After calling the hospital and the nurse that helped him when he was in the ER we decided it was best to take him back in. The doctor said usually they would send patients home and tell them it was part of the concussion, but in Shad's case where he hit his head is the weakest part of the skull and there could be a chance of something more serious happening. They gave him another CT scan and we were relieved it came back without any major problems. The doctor said he hit pretty hard and it is a bad concussion. He has quite a goose egg from it. I took pictures last night so with Shad's permission I will see if we can post some today!

Lafe and Nick went back out to the scene of the accident to get the bikes they left there. When they re-examined the washout is was a little less deep than they remembered, but the width was farther than what they remembered. Shad had to be going pretty fast to be able to jump it. The weirdest part is you honestly can't see the wash out in the direction Shad was riding, but if he was riding in the opposite direction you can't miss it. I will post pics of this so at least you can see what I am talking about.
