The last few weeks have been spent working on our grass. Now that we have everything else done and in, it was the last thing on our list to do. About a week and a half ago we seeded the front yard. We thought it would be easier to seed it than to put sod down, oh boy were we wrong! After all the work that it took to seed we figured that we would sod the rest of the back yard. I am sooooo glad we did. Shad did A LOT of work yesterday and today. He tilled, raked and shoveled the old "lawn" out yesterday and this morning I helped him lay the sod. We wish we had just put sod in the front yard, live and learn.
Our neighbor who has the cows reminds Shad of his Grandpa Don. He is the coolest old guy. He brought his loader over and helped Shad shovel the piles of weeds and grass into the bucket and then he went and dumped it in with his cows. We have talked to him many times and Shad has helped him with his cows. It is nice to have such a good neighbor!!
As we were watering the new grass Brinley slyly brought Shad's cup over to the sprinkler. Well, instead of filling up her cup she took, as she says, "a bath (baf)". I finally had to drag her (literally) out of the sprinkler. As I am pulling her away she is waving to the sprinkler saying,"bye baf, bye baf". She is so much fun. Shad and I couldn't help laughing at her. She is such an a precious little lady :)
Here are some pictures from the project. I also have a picture of when we first bought the house verses now!! Thanks to Shad we have a good looking back yard! Thanks honey you did a great job!!!
