I feel like I am so behind with keeping track of everything that has been going on with our family. Our little Breckin is growing like a weed. He is so cute! lately he has been fascinated with his hand/fist. He just lays and stares at it. He is very deliberate with his staring and movements. We have a play set Brin used when she was his age that he loves. It has rings that hang down with toys at the bottom that make noise when they are hit. It is so cute to watch him concentrate and then hit them. We found where he is ticklish...right under his chin, by his chest/rib cage and by his armpit. He has such a sweet laugh. He has been doing really well the last week or so. He has only had one day where he has had some gagging issues from his reflux! It has been such a blessing to have him do so well! Yes, he has inherited Brinley's pink bumbo. Only real guys can handle pink, right?
Brinley is growing up way too fast. She seems so old compared to Breckin. She is turning into more of a girly girl as the days go by. She loves dresses and princesses. This girl loves to learn and can't wait to go to school! Whenever we drive past a school with kids out playing she gets excited and tells me she wants to go to school. She also loves to dance and jump on the trampoline we finally setup. Her name for it is "jumpoline". It has been hard to get good pics of her lately so I will be uploading more of her on another post for now her little Aunt Jamyma pic will have to do :)
Shad had a van that needed to be delivered to a friend of his so we decided to make it a family affair. He has been so busy with work so we thought it would be a great way to spend time together. We went to sacrament for the first time in month on Sunday, it was nice and weird all at the same time. Then we hit the road. We stayed at a hotel Sunday night and took the kids swimming. Breckin is a natural...we put our hands under his neck and he did the rest. I was shocked at how well he did. Brinley learned how to plug her nose and put her head underwater. She loved every minute of it. The next day we delivered the van and came home. It was a quick trip, but it was a lot of fun. We hope to have a lot more fun trips this summer!
One thing I want to document is on our way home Shad was in a hurry. Like I said he has been really busy with work and was anxious to get back. I was tierd and ready to be home and so were the kids. That night we decided to have a little family home evening (we aren't the best at holding family home evening). As a family we have been reading the book, Standing For Something, but decided to read something off the gospel library on the iPad. I clicked on the conference talks from last October and ask Shad to pick a number 1-15. He picked 7. I counted down the list of talks until I reached seven. The talk was, What Matters Most by Elder Ucdorf(?). It was exactly what we needed to hear. It was a little creepy. It is so interesting how those things work. We are looking forward to blessing Breckin this Sunday. I will post more then!
