Last Weekend was wonderful! We had family come into town on Saturday. Shad's mom, her hubbie, Aunt Helen and Grandma Laura spent the night with us. Lafe came down for part of the night. We had pizza and colored Easter eggs. We had a little bit of prep work left for Breckin's blessing the next morning.
Sunday morning was special, but hurried. Grandma Laura, Helen (Brinley calls her Grandma too), and Grandma Donna all helped get food and us the door. I am so sad that I didn't take any pictures of getting him ready. I do have a couple that grandma took on our way out the door. Breckin was such a sweet boy for his blessing and Shad did an amazing job! The amount of attendance and support was incredible. All of the men in the circle chuckled as they tried to squeeze everyone in. I can't imagine how they would have fit everyone in if all those we invited had shown up! One of the ladies I visit teach wrote down the blessing for me and surprised me with it after sacrament. Shad and I were both grateful because we both forgot some of it by the time we got home to write it down. Brinley had fun making the rounds during sacrament to grandpas and ccousins. The lunch was nice. It was suppose to rain all day and instead we had sunshine, but it was still cold:( Our friend and neighbor (the Tejadas) is Hawaiian and he made some yummy Hawaiian food. We appreciate and love all those who came and contributed it made little Breckin's day very special and memorable....thank you!
The Tejadas invited us to a little Easter egg hunt that afternoon. It was fun to have Brinley have friends for the event instead of doing it all by herself. I didn't have time to put one together for her until Monday, so it worked out perfect.
No Easter would be complete in our family without us expressing how grateful we are for our Savior...he has born our griefs and sorrows as we struggled through the past few months and we know that through him our son was able to be healed and be alive this day. We thought it was a fitting day to bless him since without our Savior wouldn't have what we have. Without our Savior's willingness and suffering we wouldn't experience the joy we do! We love him and are deeply grateful for his love for each of us!
