I don't know if this is a general feeling with Mommas, but for me Mother's Day is a gift all on it's own. I will admit that it is really nice though to be recognized. It is the hardest responsibility I have ever had, but the greatest joy! Both Brin and Breckin have had their own challenges and it has made life challenging for an extended amount of time and they have also brought greater joy and peace during those times than we have ever known. We have learned a lot and grown a lot in such a short period of time. The thing I keep trying to tell myself is enjoy it because it isn't going to last very long...
We have church early so it was a frantic rush trying to make it before they passed the sacrament. We are usually on time, but last Sunday was different. Brinley kept throwing a fit, Shad and Breckin fell back asleep and slept longer than I thought they would. All in all we made it. Sacrament meeting was really nice. Good talks and good music. It made me a little teary eyed watching all the little ones sing and not be able to see them in Primary anymore :( We are so proud of Brinley and how good she is especially during sacrament. After church Shad fixed us some yummy frozen burritos and pizza bites :) Brin went down we thought for a nap...so Shad and I laid down with Breckin. Between the two kids I didn't sleep. I wasn't in the best mood...Shad did fix me a really yummy steak dinner though and bought me a framed quote, a gorgeous picture of the Salt Lake Temple and a LDS magazine subscription. He is a little sneaky...on Saturday he told me he had ordered me flowers, but they hadn't come so he called the fIorist and said they never got his order. He said he felt really bad about it and asked me if there was anything else I wanted. I told him I already had everything I wanted. Come to find out he had lied about the flowers and had ordered the picture he gave me three weeks earlier. He is quite the prankster:)I sure love him and my kids...it is a wonderful feeling having our little family!
