6 months and 35 Months

Breckin:

Oh Brecky, Brecky, Brecky! We sure love ya! Poor kid came down with the sores in his mouth/throat and then came down with a mild form of croup :( His blood work all came back negative for any food allergies..yaaa! We are scheduled to go into Primary Children's again for some GI testing to see why he is still in so much pain all the time. Other than that he is doing GREAT! The pediatrician is very happy with his progress. He can't stand tummy time so the second he gets put down he rolls over onto his back. He sits up for long periods of time without assistance. He can bear all of his weight on his legs and we think it is super cute to see him "walk". He has a short fuse when it comes to playing with toys. If he drops something and cant't get it he gets pretty frustrated very quickly. Other than that is his very mellow and easy going. He smiles a lot and is very ticklish. I can't believe our little guy is six months old!!! He started eating solids last week. So far he has only had carrots, squash, sweet potatoes and bananas. He doesn't like the bananas. He is an aggressive little eater :) Stats at 6 months: Weighs 18.94 lbs (73.39%) is 28 inches long (91.45%) and his head circumference is 17.25 inches (49.83%).

Brinster:

I will try to keep this short and sweet. Right now there are so many cute/sweet things I could go on and on. Today I found her dipping her hand in my water cup and slicking back Breckin's hair..."Look mom, I put water on his hair!!" His head was sopping wet and he didn't even care :) She loves to put me in a head lock at dinner when we sing the "I Love You" song from Barney at the part that says, "with a GREAT BIG HUG and a kiss from me to you". I have to tickle her to break free. She LOVES her dad!! Around the time when he is coming home she thinks every car she hears is her dad coming home. She lights up when he comes through the door and chases her down. She has really started to repeat things Shad and I say. Yesterday she tore some of the lace on the dress Shad and I brought her back from San Diego. After a nice tantrum she says, "I am pissed, I am so pissed!" While I was trying not to bust a gut on the floor laughing I tried to explain to her to say mad..I am sooo mad. She had a big canker sore in her mouth a week ago from smacking her mouth on a picnic table. When it finally started feeling better she would tell us, "it feels better now no more ouwee." We went to Deseret Book ( I secretly love to buy kid books there on clearence because they are a couple dollars each for hardbacks) and she was belting out, "I'm Trying to Be Like Jesus" and other primary songs as she looked at all the pictures of Jesus. It was what I needed that day with my horrible attitude! I took her to the Provo Temple grounds for the first time Sunday. She not only loved being up close to the temple, but she LOVED the water fountains...she couldn't help but think it was a water park :) Brinley one day you might look back and ask me why I dressed you the way I did in the pictures of you at the temple. It is because you insisted on wearing them and threw a tantrum when I tried to change you...I promise!!!! One of the hundreds of missionaries thought you were so cute he took a picture of you!

She is hilarious when it comes to hair and clothes. She wears a dress everyday and even if I do something with her hair by the end of the afternoon it looks like a rats nest...sorry Brin, but it is true. You are gorgeous even with boy short messy hair :) We sure love your sweet self!

We should get together for lunch sometime soon with Liz and little Audrey. I think it would be fun, but I also cringe at the thought of my two kids at a restaurant- they are hellians right now in public! Hopefully it's a stage they'll be out of soon! Or, maybe they'll behave better in front of people other than their own parents. I'll email or text you in the next couple of weeks. Also, happy anniversary to you and Shad tomorrow!!
