This poor girl has been through a lot! These pictures are of the procedures she had done earlier this year. As her parents we have learned that prayers are answered and the miracles happen. Last month while Shad was helping a family friend of ours, who had recently lost her husband, happened to tell us that she could help us with Brinley. We have had oodles of people offer help, refer us to doctors and give advice on what they think we should do for her. All well meaning and appreciated, but nothing seemed to fit. Even when I talked to her about what she thought I should do I was still very unsure. I made an appointment for the doctor she recommended and the morning of the appointment I told Shad I was just going to cancel it. He said, "Audrey, take her in". I am glad to say that I did. It was the best thing we could have done for her. I told Shad that I was sure that when she was pushed off of the trampoline in October that it had something to do with her epilepsy, but the doctors disagreed saying that it wasn't enough brain trauma to lead to epilepsy. When I took her into Dr. Stockwell they had me watch a short video about what they do. Immediately, I knew that it was the trampoline accident that was causing all of her neurological problems. When the tech asked me what was wrong with Brinley I explained to him what happened and all the medical issues she was dealing with. Come to find out she has some pretty severe neck trauma that caused her one leg to be 3/4 inch shorter than the other. Which for her age and body is substantial. She has been in a large amount of pain since her accident that we didn't know she was in, poor girl. Dr. Stockwell came in after they took x-rays and did his special adjustment called NUCCA. Which was painless. He adjusts the atlas bone in the neck. He told me to come back in two days if I didn't see even the slightest improvement. To my surprise within a day we noticed improvement in her speech, cognitive, motor and she even wanted to sit on the potty! It has now been almost a month to the day since her adjustment (she only needed one) and she is seizure and medicine free, close to being potty trained and we are working getting her back into her own bed! I tried to get Primary Children's to work with me on the insane amount of money they are charging us for the neurologists who didn't do anything (over $1000 for 3 visits ) and asked them to help us get Brinley off of Keppra since she was having side effects. I still have not received a phone call back from them and it has been two weeks. I really have some negative feelings toward that hospital. What they didn't do for us and what they charged in my mind is criminal. I am just grateful that we found a solution and that God has allowed her and made it possible for her to be healed! We feel very blessed!
Shad makes fun of me, but anyone who is suffering from migraines, back pain (injury related or not, even low back and hip pain), sinus problems, tmj, seizures, add/adhd, arthritis, fibromyalgia, anything related to nerve problems and or infertility need to see this doctor. It is amazing what he does and it works. He also has and area in his clinic that deals with wellness. There is a diet called GAPS that can cure children with autism that his clinic has information on. It was a lady in England I believe that came up with the cure and cured her son of autism with it. He is only 1 of 24 doctors in the world who are certified to do what he does. If you are interested in finding out more his website is: www.jackstockwell.com. There are other NUCCA doctors in other states as well too! Shad and I have also been back to see him. It has not been quite a week yet and we both have to go back in this week so I will keep you updated on our progress. My hips have felt better and Shad's back pain is starting to decrease. It will still take about 5 weeks of healing and maybe more time with adjustments so I will update more in the coming weeks!
