Memorial Day

Memorial Day was filled with thoughts of those we love who have passed on. We really miss Mark, a lot. I never got to meet Shad's grandpa, but I know Shad really misses him. Shad has another close friend that is close to passing away within the next week or two at most. He has terminal colon cancer and is at home with hospice. Death is a hard reality of life in the fact that we have to trust our belief that we will be able to see those who have passed on again, and  Jesus really did overcome death. To make the mood lighter we decided to take the kiddos bowling. Breckin had never been and I think it was Brinley's second time. As you can see my the score my kids totally beat me. They must have beginners luck :) All in all it was an enjoyable day. We are particularly grateful for those who have given their lives for us.
