About a month ago we had dinner with some friends. After we ate we all went outside to talk. The kiddos had fun playing together, especially doing ring-around-the-rosie. Brinley asks me all the time now if she can play with Sloan again.
This was the first year I had heard about the Princess Festival at Thanksgiving Point. Of course Brinley wanted to go. The day I had planned to take her she came down sick. She still wanted to go. She had a runny nose and was cranky, but no other symptoms. So, I decided to take her. It was a little hectic getting ready to go and I ended up leaving my camera on the counter at home. One of the times I really wished I had brought it instead of having to use my camera phone. I think we went during the hottest time of the day. We didn't know where to go at first and somehow we didn't get a map. A sweet lady gave us hers since she already knew her way around and had been before with her girls. After we figured out our way around the festival we had fun. Brinley was pretty shy and only talked to Princess Aurora. Brinley asked her if she pricked her finger on the spinning wheel and if she got married to her prince. It was really cute. We rode in Cinderella's carriage and ate otter pops to cool down. Breckin could care less about the princess festival all he wanted was to play in the water and eat otter pops. On our way out of the festival we bought Brin a parasol. She kept asking for one after seeing all the other girls with one. I couldn't not buy her one, I am such a sucker. As we were leaving the festival Snow White invited us to her story time in the cave. I knew we were getting to the cranky nap time stage and needed to leave, but Brin really wanted to go. After being in the cave for a minute or two we left. Brin hit some kid in the head with her parasol and Breckin was running around like barbarian :) As I dragged Breckin out of the cave Brinley had a melt down. It was time to leave. We had a really good time though and look forward to going back next year.
Funnies courtesy of Brin:
Me:Why did you pull Brother's hair?
Brin: I wanted to wear his hair.
Dad: I am going to go potty.
Brin: Are you going to go to your bathroom?
Me: No, he's going to go pee outside.
Brin: No, he's not! Dads not a dog!
Me: Let's say prayers.
Brin: Mom, please bless Brin that she won't throw fits.
