This year for Shad's birthday we planned on taking a road trip out to see his Uncle Wayne and Aunt Marie in California. They live outside of San Fransisco. I have never been to San Fran so we were planning on doing a few things there and then heading up to Redwood National Park. Shad really wanted to go! Unfortunately, as always, I came down with the stomach flu that Shad and the kiddos just got over. His birthday was really low key. We tried to let him sleep in, but that didn't happen :( Brin helped me decorate the kitchen for him and make his cake! We just stuck around the house most of the day and then went out to dinner at a Vietnamese place close to where we live...it was delicious!!! All in all he had a really good day from what he says. He is usually so busy he enjoyed being able to not having any plans or really have to do anything! A big thanks for all those who sent cards and birthday wishes! Sure love you honey!
